Live-In Home Care refers to personalized, one-on-one care services given by two care providers who reside with the person they care for and are available to assist them around-the-clock – day or night.
Our Live-In-Home services include all the great benefits provided within our Senior Companion Services and Homemaker Services (listed below), but also take matters one step further by offering valuable, round-the-clock 24-hour availability to your caregiver – delivering the ultimate peace of mind for clients and their families!
Our Live-In Home Care services are the ideal solution for seniors who desire 24-hour companionship and are able to provide their caretakers with food and a place to sleep. Live-In Home Care is also often the best solution for those clients transitioning out of in-facility Sitter Care.
Typically, we assign two people to a Live-In case, one who works for 4-5 days, and a second person who works for the remaining 2-3 days, but other arrangements are available depending on your specific needs. In some situations, if the proper factors are present, a Live-In case could be assigned to a single caregiver, or days can be broken up into two 12-hour shifts.

Our Personal Consultation will allow us to design an individualized care plan for you or your loved one while at the same time allowing us to match you with your ideal care provider companion! On our end, every Care Providers at Home caregiver is required to pass a level 2 security background check, and undergoes immense scrutiny in the interview process including state-of-the-art Caregiver Quality Assurance® character evaluations and aptitude tests. Using the information gathered in this process, and the information you share with us in the consultation, we’ll provide the ideal companion – satisfaction guaranteed! Care provider quality and compatibility is of the utmost importance to us!
Additionally, our Complimentary Home Safety Assessment allows us to address potentially life-threatening in-home obstacles that you may have not even considered. Did you know that in 2009 roughly 20,400 senior adults died due to unintentional fall injuries? In 2010, the direct medical cost of falls, adjusted for inflation, was roughly $30 billion! The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sites home safety improvements as a leading fall-prevention mechanism (among exercise, vision improvement, and medicine side effect awareness). Care Providers at Home is experienced in identifying the greatest in-home risks to your wellbeing. Our Home Safety Assessment is thorough and comprehensive. If potential dangers are identified we will report the dangers to our client and their families along with our suggested solutions. For family members afar, we can manage the hiring of a trusted contractor to implement the necessary safety changes – relieving you of the burden and uncertainty of hiring a stranger to enter your loved one’s home.
Finally, after our Live-In Home Care services commence, Care Providers at Home will follow up with you and your family within 24 to 48 hours to gauge satisfaction. In the rare occasion where adjustments are requested, we will work to implement them immediately. Care Providers at Home also takes it upon itself to perform routine supervisor home visits to ensure our strict quality standards are upheld and to make any needed adjustments should they arise.
Live-In-Home caregivers are usually given a room and expected to sleep, but are always “on call” to address client needs at any hour of the night. Of course, when a caregiver begins a live-in stay with a client a few conditions apply:
