Senior Companion Care & Homemaker Services:

Both, our homemaker services and senior companion services are designed to promote confidence, independence, and dignity within those we care for, while at the same time reducing their risk of injury in home and maintaining healthy and comfortable residential living conditions. We believe in encouraging social interaction and mental activity through social meal times, friendly outings, games, crafts, hobbies, and more. Our staff Registered Nurse will craft a personalized care plan that puts into practice activities specific to your unique needs and wishes.

As everyone’s personal needs vary and typically we find that those we care for lean more towards one service than the other, we’ve separated homemaker services and senior companion services. This allows us to be more precise in identifying your personal needs and crafting you your personalized care plan. But homemaker services and companion services are deeply intertwined, and rest assured, when you hire a Care Providers at Home senior companion, they’re trained and fully prepared to offer exceptional homemaker services and vice versa – we do whatever it takes to keep our clients fully cared for and satisfied. In-Home Consultation:

Every home care service offered by Care Providers at Home begins, first and foremost, with a complimentary In-Home Consultation. Whether it’s with Care Providers at Home, or another company in our community, we want your loved one to continue living safely and independently, with dignity and comfort from home. We understand how overwhelming the decision of choosing the right care provider may feel, with so many options to consider, and we want you to know we’re here to help. Setting up a free, one-on-one, no obligation consultation is the perfect opportunity to learn more about your options, and begin moving towards a solution that is best for you!

During this consultation our experienced RN, along with educating you on your care options, will also assess the care needs of your loved one, and gather the necessary information to match the right companion. It’s important to understand that, in many cases, your loved one may be apprehensive to discuss their more personal needs and challenges with their children and family. Our experienced staff Registered Nurse (RN) will conduct your initial In-Home Consultation, often making it easier for your loved one to open up about their more personal needs. Our comprehensive consultation was rigorously designed to gather all the information we need to tailor a personalized care plan that will offer your loved one maximum satisfaction, and keep them engaged in personal and social fulfillment activities. We’ll also go over your complete list of care options and help educate

After gaining a comprehensive understanding of our clients’ needs, preferences, and expectations, our RN utilizes our Caregiver Quality Assurance® (CQA) program to select the perfect caregiver who’s just the right match for you. The CQA program allows us to look more closely at the personality and behaviors of the caregiver we choose – and by cross referencing this information with that you supply us with in the consultation, we’re able to provide the perfect caregiver for the job!

Senior Home Safety Assessment:

Home accidents are a major source of injuries and can realistically result in death. Seniors, whose bones are often less dense and more brittle are especially vulnerable to severe injuries from home accidents. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, unintentional falls are the leading cause of death for adults age 65 and older. Moreover, one in three senior over the age of 65 experiences an unintentional fall each year! Our Home Safety Assessment is designed to identify threats to your loved ones safety in-home and correct them. Frequent home hazards and challenges faced by seniors include:

  • Tripping Hazards such as carpets edges and loose wires
  • Hard-Fall Hazards such as wet bathroom floors or staircases
  • Vision-Related Hazards such as burns from hot/cold confusion in the shower
  • Vision-Related Inconveniences such as inability to read appliance instructions
  • Outdated Smoke Detectors which may not function and result in undetected fires
  • Lack of Proper Security Locks which could result in theft or robbery
  • Food Hazards due to inability to check expiration dates

Home Safety Assessments are included for free with any in-home care service as part of our total peace of mind commitment. If potential dangers are identified we will report the dangers to our client and their families and recommend solutions. For family members afar, we will even assist with the hiring of a trusted contractor to implement the necessary safety changes – relieving you of the burden and uncertainty of hiring a stranger to enter your loved ones home.

Additional Service Benefits

Here are just some of the great benefits included for free with every service offered from Care Providers at Home:

  • The Highest-Quality of Care Providers:

While many companies that provide caregivers do so with the bare minimum standards of screening and selection, we screens each applicant through the Caregiver Quality Assurance® pre-employment assessment tool. This state of the art technology examines behaviors, attitudes, and personality characteristics to determine an applicant’s honesty, dependability, compassion, and aptitude. We’ll identify bad attitudes before they can affect your family and ensure only the most honest and compassionate care providers serve your loved one!

In addition, our care providers are interviewed, screened, put through a level 2 background check, and provided case-specific training to ensure only the safest and most qualified are allowed into the home of your loved one.

  • RN-Led In-Home Consultation:

It’s important to understand that in some cases, your loved one may be apprehensive to mention their more personal needs and challenges. A skilled and experienced registered nurse will conduct the consultation, and is often an easier person for your loved one to open up to in regards to these personal needs. During this initial consultation we’ll gather the information we need to assign the most compatible caregiver possible, ensuring maximum client satisfaction. We’ll also discuss with our client and their family our suggested personalized care plan and recommended home safety improvements.

  • Complimentary Home Safety Assessment:

Our home safety assessment allows us to identify and address potential in-home dangers that could cause severe injury or even death. In 2009 about 20,400 older adults died from unintentional fall injuries, and in 2010, the direct medical cost of falls was roughly $30 billion! The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sites home safety improvements as a leading fall-prevention mechanism (among exercise, vision improvement, and medicine side effect awareness). Care Providers at Home is skilled and experienced in identifying in-home safety threats. Our Home Safety Assessment is thorough and comprehensive. If potential dangers are identified we will report them to our client and their families along with our suggested solutions. For family members afar, we can assist with the hiring of a trusted contractor to implement the necessary safety changes – relieving you of the burden and uncertainty of hiring a stranger to enter your loved one’s home.

  • Locally Owned and Operated Support:

Locally owned and operated by father and son Jim and Tom Grimes, we only operate in Sarasota, Florida. And because we’re local you can trust your loved one will receive the full attention of our staff, all the way to the ownership. Either Jim or Tom is on-call 24-hours a day, seven days a week for your assurance and convenience. The two will also gladly come meet you personally, provide you with your complimentary in-home consultation, and assess the safety of your home.
